Fetch ("we", "our", "the extension") is a free Chrome browser extension that reads publicly available shipping and returns information from online retailer websites. This policy explains what data Fetch accesses, how it is used, and your rights.
Fetch does not collect, store, transmit or sell any personal data. Specifically:
When you click the Fetch icon on a product page, the extension reads the URL of the active tab and makes outbound requests to that retailer's publicly accessible shipping and returns policy pages. This processing happens entirely within your browser. No data is sent to our servers.
Fetch requests the following Chrome permissions:
None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit personal information.
The "Continue shopping" button may route through an affiliate network (such as Skimlinks or Awin). This means the retailer's website may set an affiliate cookie in your browser when you land on their page. This is standard affiliate marketing practice. We do not receive or store any personal data as part of this process. The retailer's own privacy policy governs what they collect on their site.
Fetch makes HTTP requests to retailer websites to fetch their publicly available policy pages. These are the same requests your browser would make if you navigated to those pages manually. We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising or tracking services within the extension itself.
Fetch does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please open an issue on our GitHub repository or contact us via the Chrome Web Store listing.
